At KAREN, we pride ourselves on producing the highest quality PVC edgebanding on the market. Our products are suitable for a wide range of applications, including residential and office furniture, institutional casegoods, store fixtures, kitchens, and locker rooms. Our edgebanding comes in a variety of thicknesses, from .018 inches (0.45 mm) to 3 mm, and widths ranging from 5/8 inches (16 mm) to 2-3/16 inches (55 mm).

One of the key features of our PVC edgebanding is its solid coloration, which makes for easy and seamless rounding of edges. The impact-resistant formulation of our PVC material also ensures a long service life for milling and other cutting tools. Our edgebanding is coated on the back with a universal bonding agent for optimal adhesion and can be used with all suitable hot melt glues or solvent-based adhesives.

PVC, or polyvinyl chloride, is a well-known and widely-used plastic in the furniture industry. Edgebanding made from this material has been around for over 40 years and has proven to be incredibly successful due to its exceptional material properties. The ease of processing PVC has contributed to its popularity in the furniture manufacturing market.

The range of applications for our PVC edgebanding is virtually limitless. It can be used in offices, bathrooms, kitchens, exhibition stands, shop fitting, and general interior furnishings. Our PVC raw material formulation is particularly user-friendly and can be applied to both straight and curved furniture components, whether inside or outside radii are required.

We also offer an Edgebanding Finder tool on our website for customers to easily find the perfect match for their specific needs. This tool allows you to filter by size, type, material, board manufacturer, embossing, and gloss level.

Our edgebanding can be applied manually using a gluing jig or edgebanding press. We recommend using a 2-component, acrylic-based dispersion adhesive or suitable contact adhesive. For further information, customers can contact their adhesive manufacturer directly.

To achieve optimal edgebanding bond when using contact adhesive, it is important to allow for cure time after applying the adhesive to the edgebanding and board. Tapping on the edgebanding can also help. Heating to speed up adhesion is not necessary when using dispersion glues, and processing can continue after curing (up to approximately 6 hours, depending on the adhesive).

Some of the benefits of choosing KAREN PVC edgebanding include availability from stock, a wide range of colors, designs, and woodgrains, and 11 different embossing options for a natural appearance and deep emboss feel.
